Jency Sekaran, a NYC multimedia artist, explores identity, womanhood & being a 3rd culture child as an Indian-American. Her art, through printmaking & embroidery, depicts powerful brown women breaking cultural norms. Indowestern clothing, melanated skin, and henna patterns symbolize unity of diverse cultural expectations. Featured in BIG INK & NYC group shows, Jency's work resonates in printmaking & embroidery. Published in Artivist & The Mag With Love, she builds a strong portfolio on acceptance amid cultural & societal influences.
